Who processes the data?
When you apply for a job, you send your details to the company that posted it. The company is the controller and decides how your application is followed up.
handpick.team is the processor. We store and process the details on the company's behalf, under a data processing agreement, and never use them for our own purposes.
What is collected?
What you fill in yourself in the application:
- Name, phone and email
- Answers to the questions in the application form
- Your CV, if you choose to attach it
The company can also store its own notes and a status for your application. You don't need an account to apply.
Why is the data used?
The details are used to process your application: assess it, get in touch and possibly arrange a conversation. They are not used for marketing, and you are not added to a candidate database.
About AI. AI can write a summary of your answers and CV. The contact fields from the form are not sent, but contact details written in the CV itself are. AI does not rank or reject anyone. A person always decides.
Storage and deletion
Your application is deleted automatically six months after the job is closed. The company can delete it sooner, for example if you ask them to.
Deletion covers everything: application, attachments, notes, history and AI summaries.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details. Contact the company you applied to. Their contact details are in the job ad.
If you believe your details are being processed wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Visitor statistics
On our public pages and during sign-up we measure visits with PostHog, stored in the EU: which pages are read, where the visit came from, and whether someone creates an account. We use it to improve the website.
We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. Visits are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day, so we can't recognise you from one day to the next. Job ads, applications and interview booking are not measured with PostHog.
On job ads we only count how many people open the ad and which channel they came from, such as LinkedIn or the career page, and show the numbers to the company that posted it. We store no IP address or code that could recognise you.
